ACL or Texas vs. OU weekend??? Plus other stuff

So ACL and the Texas vs. OU game are on the same weekend. Should this be a dilemma? Maybe. Is this a dilemma? Hell no. CHILDISH GAMBINO IS GONNA BE AT ACL, TRICK. And I’m gonna be there because of reasons. And Gambino is a mastermind. And we got our asses beat last season so whatever, and I was there (actually at the State Fair so I heard us get our asses beat but whatever). And i want to volunteer at ACL anyway so me + Childish Gambino + ACL = all the feels.

Anyways, school’s out which is awesome. But sad cause I miss my friends from school. But awesome because no Quest, which if you knew what that was, you’d agree. I’ll be working, hopefully, taking summer classes, and volunteering as a camp counselor at a camp for children with special needs so that’s pretty exciting. Also I’m gonna start writing again, I’ve missed it. A lot. Then again, I really like sleeping. A lot. We’ll see how this a plays out.

I’ve started, like, evaluating my life and character and stuff and noticed a few things or something. And it’s nice that I, like, am aware of this now to save myself from the inevitable embarrassment I’ll put myself through so here goes:

1.) I’m kind of an introvert. Like I feel comfortable just enjoying my own company; it recharges me. I could honestly just go to the movies or a restaurant by myself and be perfectly fine, if not happier. Yeah I’m the girl reading The Wall Street Journal listening to Gambino chillin at La Madeline on her own, and people think I’m lonely and pathetic. Sorry bout it.

2.) And I’m awkward. Not like anti-social-kid-in-the-3rd-grade-that chewed-on-his-tshirt-and-talks-to-himself-during-recess type of awkward. Like I kinda grimace instead of smiling in the appropriate social situations and fist bumping when I’m supposed to high five. Or tripping on gravity. Things like that.

3.) I obsesses over things quite frequently. Some of time it’s helpful, like with academics. But most of the time, it’s with weird-ass stuff, like European capitals, categorizing SNL hosts by height, or One Direction. Or like TV trivia, 90s Nickelodeon, famous comedians, stand up, NPR’s “Fresh Air”, and Nerdfighteria. I’m now in a phase where Donald Glover, Community, Michael Cera, famous Youtubers, ASOS clothing, Barnes and Nobles, and Regina Spektor’s upcoming album are my life. I know, it’s sad.

4.) Speaking of Donald Glover, I know I always have to relate shit back to him. People could be having a conversation about cotton swabs and I’ll just warp the conversation to concern him, like I’m obsessed or something. Pssh, not even. Anyways, even though we’re lovers and he’s sorta, kinda is unaware of our impending marriage, the chances of us ever being together is like slim. And I tend to fall for people who, like, I wouldn’t think would fall back. Like my White Jay (who is like the White Jay from Awkward Black Girl, which you should watch) who I’ve talked about before and is incredibly clueless, but by the looks of numbers 1-3, can’t blame him. It’s been seven months though! Whatever,my standards are too high and I’m too ugly. Fact

If Mindy Kalling, Chris Rock, the guy that created Instagram, Ben Folds, and that awkward kid in the 3rd grade that ate his tshirt got together and had a baby, I’d be the offspring. And, like, it’s good that I know that now, you know. In sum, I’m going to ACL to see Childish Gambino. There’s the gist of that story.
